On 9th June 2017, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Botswana Federation of the Disabled as part of JICA’s networking efforts with various potential partners that they they could collaborate with in the project for the “Promotion of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Disability Mainstreaming”.
Mr. Daisuke Sagiya, Chief Advisor, Department of Social Development (DSD) in South Africa / Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Mr. Ren Kamioka, Project Coordinator, National DSD / JICA met with the leadership of BOFOD, and discussed a range of issues such as the project overview that DSD/JICA currently being implemented in SOuth Africa and possibilities of networking with BOFOD when the project finally gets scaled up to other countries in the region in future, among other things.
